Giving Legitimacy to the
Actors of Bloodshed
Mogadishu Feb. 21th,
By Dr. Hirow Aw-Haaji
No matter how much we
applaud and aid the
Warlords and give them
legitimacy to run the
country they’ve
devastated for 16 years
will not hold up to an
analogy as future
success to invade and
install a warlord to
over rule his own
victims as the only
viable way to heal this
devastated nation. It is
also a clear violation
of the U.N. charter by
anyone to claim a
democratic solution
goals are we are after
Somalia to have it, by
backing a widely accused
human rights violators
killed thousands of
Somalis, while at the
same time that will
indicate it those who
are supporting these
groups are no better
than them as violators
themselves when it comes
to breaking an
international laws.
The installed rogue TFG
of Somalia, with its
rogue leader assisted by
their Ethiopian ally are
operating under the
outside bounds of
international norms
committing newer war
crimes intended to an
unarmed civilians who’s
been waged against all
kinds of naked
aggression for decades
while genocide and
depriving peace and food
used as the systematic
weaponry of choice to
compel them abandon
their homes and
ancestral lands to
replace them by invaders
from far away regions
replacing them.
What we see in Mogadishu
right now is pulling
carts heaped with
belongings in a
desperate attempt to
leave an onslaught of
mortar and rocket
attacks firing by the
Ethiopians and Puntland
gang-soldiers at them in
retaliation to few gang
members that are
targeting them
sporadically from a
crowded neighborhoods,
and that could be any
one, including the
Warlord minister’s
gang-soldiers of the
same so-called
government who are angry
for the godfather
Abdullahi Yusuf’s
"Political settlement
demands for his sub-clan
or his way of dispensing
the equity of power
sharing for those who
will never satisfy
enough By God himself,
or could also be himself
who wants to keep
Ethiopians in Somalia as
long as it takes, or to
the angry Islamists mobs
deposed by the
Ethiopians who won’t
miss for the world to
cause a chaos that will
make them look like a
billion dollar elites.
Those who are paying the
heavy price are Helpless
Elders, Women and
children as usual, who
are deserved the eternal
condemnation form The
International community,
who caught up in this
violent situation and
abandoning their houses
and don’t know where
they are heading. For
them the year of anarchy
and chaos that dogged
the nation in 1991 is
back to their memory as
well as in their daily
lives. And of course,
the question of
legitimacy will not be
asked to the well known
dictator Abdullahi Yusuf
and his sub-clan
soldiers, with their
Darood and Ethiopians
assisting firing once
again at them,
apparently continuing to
unfinished work that was
left behind by the same
groups just 16 years
ago, when Siad Barre
cried out loudly to all
Darood families rescue
their legitimate rights
of leadership.
Somalian private culture
can only fully
understand by Somalis,
and each time the west
needs advice gets from
either side of the two
gangs. The Questions is;
will it help if more
powerful countries
simply taking weapons
into their hands to
dominate smaller
countries while
installing a puppet
government that will
look after their
interests become the new
law of the globe? The
Somalis are fully aware
of; 'that a new
guerrilla war that could
last decades just
began', if it is not
contained, while the
actions fueling
resentment and mistrust
among the Somalis and
the hatred they will
have for the Western
countries increases,
because of it’s missteps
and miscalculations
handing the power over
to a known and most
hated ruthless dictator
whose his sub-clan
directing the government
to resort vengeances,
pay back and land
expansion that was the
game the Somali
gangsters were playing
for over a half of a
century.
It is crystal clear that
the Somali civilians are
not responsible for the
actions of a man who was
grinding his ax for 40
years and those
Americans who is in
charge Somalia
"inability to
differentiate" between
Islamist, Warlords in
one hand and peace
lovers, victims who
suffered in the hands of
those gang anarchists
with their corruption,
political oppression,
and a failed ideology
never had to be
responsible for their
actions, but at the same
time it becomes a Pay
off for their crimes and
even be rewarded to
whenever they cross the
limit of brutality
against their civilians.
It is "a pity treason"
that the innocent may be
made to pay for the
crimes of the guilty,
where a gangsterism and
power is virtue, that
all the compromises
Southern Somali Maay
People show becomes
perfidy where the ends
justifying the means.
Today’s U.S policies
have begun to reflect
hypocrisy in the
question of denying the
legitimacy, respect and
dignity of
self-determination, life
and peace to a
population whose lives
affected by a
gangster-engineered
poverty, genocide and
land grapping by
installing the chased
totalitarian anarchists
regime to replace
another hollow
totalitarians after few
years, all will crumble
anyway at no time if
Ethiopians are sent back
home for some
inexplicable wild reason
again.
Couldn’t the
international community
anticipate a Warlord’s
national, values,
democracy and peace was
all a cover up but to
promote warlord’s
private dream while
inciting a growing sense
of more fighters whose
justification will be
fighting the Ethiopians
invasion, while with
warlord administration
massive killing all over
Southern Somalia is pure
systematic massacre
against unarmed
civilians, even though
it is no longer a war
crime to kill civilians
indiscriminately in
Southern Somalia, where
the wars and the
inhumanity prevailed
over the years against a
population who is been
robbed their lands,
their language, their
beautiful cultures that
welcomed diversity and
peace and would have
been a good example that
the whole world to learn
from it.
The Ethiopian invasion
was probably represented
a net gain of freedom to
Some Warlords who used
to enjoy the best five
star hotels in the
world, while it was a
net loss for other
warlords who build their
own private paradise in
Somalia, but to Somali
Maay Population at large
with the other civilians
no one has the time to
understand their
grievances or really
cares about their
unrest, and will
continue. In the last
three weeks, 51 people
have been killed and
more than 100 wounded.
We will be watching the
Ethiopian troops,
largely seen as an
occupying Christian
force to some accusing
them as such, of
indiscriminate attacks
against
civilian-populated areas
while those who support
them and hiding in their
pocket are no different
than those accusing
them.
We are Somali Maay
Population," We were
born here centuries ago
we will die here and we
are condemning those who
are arming them for
their political agendas.
We did not come from
somewhere as far as
central Somalia or
Ethiopia, and we are
also learning that the
West does not live up to
its beliefs - and their
contradictions will
plague them as much it
is plagued us over the
years, and whatever
agenda they may have for
Somalia will fail unless
the correct steps be
taken to punish both
criminal gangs from
central Somalia. And it
is going to be
difficult, if not
impossible, for the
United States to talk
about democracy or even
support democracy. If
this most recent
initiatives for Somalia
is called democracy!
Unless, as it seems
purposely designed to
undermine that
particular goal for the
sake of see me I can do
whatever I want.
Maayland is for Maay
People, it can be
delayed but not denied.
And no matter what’s the
strategy pursued by some
powerful countries
alongside the United
Nations Missionaries
behind the current
intentionally making
mistakes, one day
reality shall indeed
surface to the top, and
accountability will be
demanded, and that is
the awaited day by all
Somali victimized
Societies generally in
Somalia, and
particularly The Somali
Maay Maay Population.
